Squirdle
Squirdle chose a fantastic era in which to be born. Pokémon Legends: Arceus, the much-anticipated spinoff game, will be available on January 28. The new mainline Pokémon games, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl were published two months ago.
The goal of the puzzle game Wordle is to correctly guess a five-letter word in six attempts. Similar gameplay is seen in the Squirdle version, which gives players eight tries to correctly guess a Pokémon's name.
Players in Squirdle begin by speculating on a Pokémon name. Players can figure out the daily Pokémon by using a line of hints that the game spews out. It will let them know if it's the appropriate generation and type, showing a green square for an accurate estimate. Players can also see if the monster they predicted is bigger and heavier than the real one.
The Wordle clone expresses appreciation to old Pokémon enthusiasts who left the franchise after the first generation. There is a generation one-only mode in Fireblend that only uses Pokémon names from Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow. For those who don't want to have to memorize all 898 creatures, it is ideal (and counting).
Visit Fireblend's website to see Squirdle and start generating your daily Pokémon predictions. If his interactions on Twitter with game users are any indication, he'll be updating the title and introducing hopefully even more generation-specific options.
